Karachi Kings is a Pakistani professional Twenty20 cricket team that competes in Pakistan Super League. The team is based in Karachi the provincial capital of Sindh, Pakistan.The team was formed in 2015, as a result of the formation of the Pakistan Super League by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The King’s Home Ground is National Stadium. The team is currently captained by Shoaib Malik and coached by Mickey Arthur a former South African cricketer.It is owned by ARY Media Group a media company which operates different channels in Pakistan.
The Karachi Kings were created when the decision was taken by Pakistan Cricket board to have its own franchise based T20 league. On 3 December 2015, the PCB unveiled the owners of five city-based franchises, representing Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Islamabad and Quetta.The Karachi franchise was sold to the ARY Media Group for US$26 Million for a ten-year period making it the most expensive team in the tournament.
Team name and logo
Team name and logo was revealed on 21 December 2015. logo features a lion with Karachi Kings written below in white and gold colors. At the logo ceremony Salman Iqbal the owner of the team said that the logo and the theme of the team represents the true spirit and resilience of Karachi.

Jersey color
The King’s kit color is Blue and golden.The official kit provider is an American sportswear company Nike.

Theme Song
Theme song of the team is Karachi Jeetay Gaa sung by Ali Azmat a Pakistani singer. The theme song launched on 8 Jan 2016 in an event held in National Stadium Karachi.[8]

Team Ambassadors
Actor Faysal Qureshi and Fahad Mustafa are the brand Ambassadors of Kings in first season.

American Sportswear Company Nike became the team’s first shirt sponsor after they signed a deal in 2016.They acquired branding rights on the players Kit and Caps
